Cesare I Gonzaga (1530 – 15 February 1575) was count of Guastalla from 1557 until his death. He was a member of the House of Gonzaga, the first-born son of the imperial condottiero Ferrante Gonzaga and Isabella di Capua. From the latter, he inherited also the title of Count of Amalfi.

Los Gonzaga fueron una familia noble italiana que gobernó la ciudad-estado y luego ducado de Mantua desde 1328 hasta 1708. Los primeros Gonzaga. Conocidos como Corradi por el apellido de Filippo Corradi el supuesto creador de la familia, de origen burgués y oriundo posiblemente de la ciudad de Gonzaga.
Ferrante Gonzaga, también conocido como Ferrando o Ferdinando Gonzaga, (Mantua, 28 de enero de 1507 - Bruselas, 15 de noviembre de 1557) miembro de la Casa de Gonzaga, fue un condotiero italiano y hombre de estado al servicio de Carlos V, virrey de Sicilia, gobernador de Milán, duque de Ariano y de Guastalla y príncipe de Molfetta.

Cesare I. Gonzaga (* 6. September 1536 wahrscheinlich in Sizilien; † 17. Februar 1575) war der Sohn des kaiserlichen Feldherrn Ferrante I. Gonzaga, der die Linie Guastalla begründete. Cesare I. Gonzaga Graf von Guastalla. Cesare I. selbst war Graf von Guastalla und Herzog von Amalfi (sein Vater war Vizekönig von Sizilien).
