Fox Maule-Ramsay, 11th Earl of Dalhousie, KT, GCB, PC (22 April 1801 – 6 July 1874), known as Fox Maule before 1852, as The Lord Panmure between 1852 and 1860, was a British politician. Ancestry. Fox Maule by Thomas Duncan. Dalhousie was the eldest son of William Maule, 1st Baron Panmure, and a grandson of George Ramsay, 8th Earl of Dalhousie.

18 de abr. de 2024 · Fox Maule Ramsay, 11th earl of Dalhousie was a British secretary of state for war (1855–58) who shared the blame for the conduct of the last stage of the Crimean War. Originally named Fox Maule, he became 2nd Baron Panmure in 1852 and the earl of Dalhousie in 1860. In 1861 he assumed the Dalhousie.

Fox Maule, 2nd Baron Panmure, succeeded his cousin as 11th Earl of Dalhousie in 1860. Colstoun (East Lothian) was acquired through the marriage of the 9th Earl (1770-1838) to Christian, daughter and heir of Charles Broun of Colstoun.
