Francis Russell, Marquess of Tavistock was born 27 September 1739 to John Russell, 4th Duke of Bedford (1710-1771) and Gertrude Leveson-Gower (1715-1794) and died 22 March 1767 London, Greater London, England, United Kingdom of injuries sustained after a fall from his horse whilst out hunting. He married Elizabeth Keppel (1739-1768) 8 June 1764 in Woburn Abbey.
