Síntesis biográfica. Franz Seldte nació en Magdeburg y, después de estudiar en Braunschweig, luchó por Alemania en la Primera Guerra Mundial. Perdió un brazo en la batalla y su lesión lo inspiró a fundar Stahlhelm, una organización de veteranos. El Stahlhelm se transformó rápidamente en una organización militar comprometida.

Franz Seldte. Franz Seldte nació en Magdeburgo el 29 de junio de 1882 y murió el 1 de abril de 1947. Estudió química y al terminar sus estudios trabajó en la empresa paterna, volviéndose bastante rico. Parte para la Primera Guerra Mundial en un regimiento de infantería y en 1916, durante una batalla, pierde el brazo izquierdo.
