Frederick Sandys May 1, 1829 - Jun 25, 1904 Anthony Frederick Augustus Sandys, usually known as Frederick Sandys, was a British painter, illustrator, and draughtsman, associated with the Pre-Raphaelites.
The Clabburn family, internationally renowned shawl manufacturers, lived in Thorpe, near Norwich, and patronised the artist.
