14 de dic. de 2022 · In the ineluctable rhythmical impulse of Fauré’s music, quiet and gentle though the opening is, we can hear the bars of the poet’s cell, and the iron that has entered his soul. Although originally composed for Voice (Soprano) and Piano, I created this arrangement of "Prison" (Op. 83 No. 1) for Flute & Piano.

He was one of the foremost French composers of his generation, and his musical style influenced many 20th-century composers. Among his best-known works are his Pavane, Requiem, nocturnes for piano and the songs "Après un rêve" and "Clair de lune".
