Hace 6 días · Lincolnshire's last railway tunnel. The engineer responsible for the tunnel was Denzil Ibbetson, born in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire in 1847. At the time he was working as a civil engineer on the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway. Now a single line runs through it, but it was double track until the 1980s.
