Senior School students have the choice of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma for entry into tertiary study. Co-curricular activities: Geelong Grammar School offers more than 100 co-curricular activities, from drama, dance and debating to cooking, community service and environmental projects.

Timbertop operates in a very isolated environment. The campus is set on over 325 hectares of bush and farming land in the Victorian High Country. The nearest public road is over two kilometres from the main living and teaching areas. Cars and the general public cannot be seen, and the noise of traffic is replaced by the sounds of the bush.
Students may compete for the Geelong Grammar Pony Club which is affiliated with The Pony Club Association of Victoria. Equestrian is also offered as a co-curricular activity. Middle School Students participating in equestrian as their sport must do so in the normal sport times (Tuesday 3.50pm – 5.00pm, Wednesday 2pm – 3.45pm and Saturday morning 9am – 11am).
