Gene Colan. Eugene Jules Colan ( / ˈkoʊlən /; September 1, 1926 – June 23, 2011) [1] was an American comic book artist best known for his work for Marvel Comics, where his signature titles include the superhero series Daredevil, the cult-hit satiric series Howard the Duck, and The Tomb of Dracula, considered one of comics' classic horror series.

Eugene Colan was a comic book artist, best known for his work on Silver Age 'Daredevil', 'Howard the Duck' and his horror comics. Born in The Bronx, New York City, Colan began his career in comics at Fiction House in 1944. Among his earliest credits are 'Wings Tops', 'Clipper Kirk' and 'Suicide Brigade' for titles like Wings Comics.
