Georg Michaelis (8 September 1857 – 24 July 24 1936) became the first Chancellor of Germany with a non-noble background. Early life [ change | change source ] Michaelis was born at Haynau in Silesia .

Georg Michaelis (1857-1936) spent his formative years in Frankfurt an der Oder. He studied law in Breslau and Leipzig and also attended classes on national economy, which shaped his belief that the profit-driven market economy should both be limited by government interventions and inspired by Christian public spirit.

29 de nov. de 2023 · Georg Michaelis studied law in Breslau, Leipzig and Wurzburg, and graduated from the Göttingen University in 1884. On invitation of the Japanese government, he taught at the German school of law in Tokyo (1885-1889). Upon his return to Germany he became a Prussian civil servant and quickly rose in the administrative hierarchy.
