Vida y Biografía de George Edmund Street. (Woodford, 1824-Londres, 1881) Arquitecto británico. Destacado exponente del neogótico victoriano, efectuó varios inmuebles religiosos y la Royal Court of Justice en Londres. Fue creador, además de esto, de ensayos críticos y teóricos (La arquitectura gótica en España, 1865).
George Edmund Street, también conocido como G. E. Street, fue un arquitecto inglés, estilísticamente un destacado practicante del neogótico victoriano. Aunque fue principalmente un arquitecto eclesiástico, quizás sea más conocido como el diseñador de los Reales Tribunales de Justicia en el Strand de Londres.
26 de ene. de 2016 · George Edmund Street was the son of a London solicitor, and he was educated to follow in his father's footsteps, but in 1840, less than a year after his father's death, he was articled to a Winchester architect, Owen Browne Carter. From 1844 he was assistant to George Gilbert Scott, and in 1849 he set up his own practice.

In the centre of the brass a figure of Street, wearing a college cape, kneels before a large cross and a Latin scroll issues from his mouth with the words (translated) 'O Lord, I have loved the habitation of thy house'.
