Arthur James Balfour, 1st Earl of Balfour, KG, OM, PC, FRS, FBA, DL (/ ˈ b æ l f ər,-f ɔːr /, traditionally Scottish / b əl ˈ f ʊər /; 25 July 1848 – 19 March 1930), also known as Lord Balfour, was a British Conservative statesman who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1902 to 1905.
The manor of Silverton was an historic manor in the parish of Silverton in Devon. The last version of the manor house was Silverton Park (also called Egremont House), a large neoclassical mansion house built in 1839–45 by George Wyndham, 4th Earl of Egremont (1786-1845) and demolished in 1901.
