Biography. Okropir ( aka "Chrysosthomus") [1] was born in Telavi to Crown Prince George (the future king George XII of Georgia, reigned 1798–1800) and his second wife, Mariam. After his father's death and Russian annexation of Georgia (1800), the royal family was forcibly removed from Georgia.
