He holds a star-like light, pointing to Jesus as “the light of the world,” (Luke 2:31-32) who comes to illumine all men (John 1:9).

She also met with Henry James, Robert Browning and Thomas Huxley during her European travels. A collection of Poems in Prose (1887) was her last book.

In October 1857, the 17 years old Jane and her sister Elizabeth attended a performance of the Drury Lane Theatre Company in Oxford. Dante Gabriel Rossetti and Edward Burne-Jones, struck by her beauty, noticed Jane there.
