Gerald Fitzgerald, VIII Conde de Kildare KG (nacido c. 1456 – c. 3 de septiembre de 1513), conocido también con el sobrenombre de " Garret el Grande " ( Gearóid Mór) o " El Gran Conde " ( Un tIarla Mór ), fue el principal noble de Irlanda. Gerard FitzGerald, 9th Earl of Kildare (1487 – 12 December 1534; Irish: Gearóid Óg Mac Gearailt, meaning "Young Gerald FitzGerald"), was a leading figure in 16th-century Irish History. In 1513 he inherited the title of Earl of Kildare and position of Lord Deputy of Ireland from his father.

Gerald Fitzgerald, 14th or 15th earl of Desmond (born c. 1538—died November 11, 1583, Glenageenty, County Kerry, Ireland) was an Irish Roman Catholic nobleman who led one of the three major Irish rebellions against English rule under Queen Elizabeth I.

Fitzgerald, Gerald (1525–85), 11th earl of Kildare , was the son of Gerald FitzGerald (qv), 9th earl of Kildare, and his second wife, Elizabeth, daughter of Thomas Grey, marquis of Dorset. Fitzgerald's father built up a powerful position in Ireland, and served as deputy for many years, dying in 1513.
