George Plantagenet, 1st Duke of Clarence (21 October 1449 – 18 February 1478) was the third son of Richard Plantagenet, 3rd Duke of York, and Cecily Neville, and the younger brother of King Edward IV of England.
Duke of York (1411–1460) und der Cecily Neville. Er war deren drittältester Sohn, der das Erwachsenenalter erreichte. Sein älterer Bruder wurde 1461 als Eduard IV. König von England. Richard Plantagenet, 3rd Duke of York (21 September 1411 – 30 December 1460) was the son of Richard of Conisburgh, 3rd Earl of Cambridge, a noble who had been executed for treason by King Henry V in 1415, and of Anne de Mortimer, who, like her husband, was a direct descendant of King Edward III.
