Godstow is a hamlet about 2.5 miles (4 km) northwest of the centre of Oxford. It lies on the banks of the River Thames between the villages of Wolvercote to the east and Wytham to the west. The ruins of Godstow Abbey, also known as Godstow Nunnery, are here.

14 de jul. de 2021 · The ruins of a 12th-century abbey, or nunnery, stand in a meadow beside the River Thames at Godstow, just north of the city. Godstow Abbey is famed as the burial place of 'Fair Rosamund' de Clifford, Henry II's mistress.
Close to Godstow Lock on the banks of the River Thames are the remains of Godstow Abbey. The ruins are located by a public footpath. For ruins they are in good condition, with most of the walls remaining, no roofs survive. A pleasant stop if walking along the River Thames.
