Gonville and Caius College, often referred to simply as Caius (/ k iː z / KEEZ), is a constituent college of the University of Cambridge in Cambridge, England. Founded in 1348 by Edmund Gonville , it is the fourth-oldest of the University of Cambridge's 31 colleges and one of the wealthiest.

Discover. History. Caius is the fourth oldest College in the University of Cambridge. The College was first founded as Gonville Hall by Edmund Gonville, Rector of Terrington St Clement in Norfolk, in 1348, and refounded in 1557 by John Caius as Gonville and Caius College.
Location. We are located in the heart of Cambridge. The Old Courts are on Trinity Street in the centre of Cambridge, at the top of historic King's Parade. A few minutes' scenic walk away over the River Cam is West Road, site of Harvey Court and The Stephen Hawking Building.
