Grete Keilson. Margarete "Grete" Fuchs-Keilson (21 December 1905 – 4 January 1999) was a German politician and official in the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) and the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED).

On arrival at Berlin Schönefeld Airport in the GDR, Fuchs was met by Grete Keilson, a friend from his years as a student communist. They were married on 9 September 1959. In the GDR, Fuchs continued his scientific career and achieved considerable prominence as a leader of research.

Fuchs married Grete Keilson in 1959. In the same year he was appointed deputy head of the Central Institute for Nuclear Research of the Academy of Sciences of the German Democratic Republic in Rossendorf, holding this position until 1973 .
