Guillaume de Salluste Du Bartas (1544, in Monfort – July 1590, in Mauvezin) was a Gascon Huguenot courtier and poet. Trained as a doctor of law, he served in the court of Henri de Navarre for most of his career.

Guillaume de Saluste du Bartas (Guilhem Sallusti deu Bartàs), ou plus simplement Guillaume du Bartas, né en 1544 à Monfort et mort le 28 août 1590 à Mauvezin, est un écrivain et poète français qui fut très en faveur auprès des lecteurs jusqu'au XVII e siècle.

Guillaume de Salluste, seigneur du Bartas (born 1544, Montfort, near Auch, France—died July 1590, Coudons) was the author of La Semaine (1578), an influential poem about the creation of the world. Though he tried to avoid participating in the Wars of Religion, du Bartas was an ardent Huguenot and a trusted counsellor of Henry of Navarre.
