Prince Alfons of Bavaria ( German: Alfons Maria Franz von Assisi Klemens Max Emanuel Prinz von Bayern; 24 January 1862 – 8 January 1933) was a member of the Bavarian Royal House of Wittelsbach and a General of Cavalry . Early life. Alfons was born in Munich, Bavaria.
He is the eldest son of Prince Konstantin of Bavaria and his first wife Princess Maria Adelgunde of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen. Since his parents separated soon after he was born, Leopold was raised by his grandparents Prince Friedrich von Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen and Princess Margarete Karola of Saxony.

On 15 April 1891 at Schloss Nymphenburg, Louise married her second cousin Prince Alfons of Bavaria. He was the second son of Prince Adalbert of Bavaria (1828–1875) and his wife, Amelia de Bourbon (1834–1905). They had two children: Prince Joseph Clemens of Bavaria (1902–1990), who never married;
