Reinhardsbrunn in Friedrichroda near Gotha, in the German state of Thuringia, is the site of a formerly prominent Benedictine abbey, the house monastery of the Ludovingian Landgraves of Thuringia abbey extant between 1085 and 1525.
Reinhardsbrunn ist ein Stadtteil der thüringischen Kleinstadt Friedrichroda im Landkreis Gotha. In Reinhardsbrunn befand sich das Hauskloster der Landgrafen von Thüringen. Auf dessen Ruine wurde 1827 das Schloss Reinhardsbrunn errichtet.

Hermann died at Gotha in 1217 and was buried at Reinhardsbrunn. Hermann was fond of the society of men of letters, and Walther von der Vogelweide and other Minnesingers were welcomed to his castle, the Wartburg. A few days after his death, his daughter Gertrude was born. Louis's remains were buried in Reinhardsbrunn Abbey in 1228. He was succeeded by his five-year-old son Hermann II, under the tutelage of his uncle Henry Raspe.
