The 1892 Georgia Bulldogs football team represented the University of Georgia during the 1892 college football season and was its first football team ever fielded. The team completed its inaugural season with a 1–1 record.
Dr. Charles Holmes Herty, a chemist, formed the very first football team at UGA in 1892. In 1892, Dr. Herty was 25 years old and newly returned to his alma mater after taking his Ph.D. at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore.
