Designed by William Wilkins (1778-1839) in 1806 as the East India College for the Honourable East India Company's future civil servants (opened 1809: closed 1858: reopened as a public school in 1862: amalgamated with the Imperial Service College 1942).

Sport is an integral part of what Haileybury has to offer and with this comes an impressive sporting infrastructure. Our facilities include a 25-metre swimming pool, all-weather pitches, fitness suites and indoor courts. Outside, among 500 acres of woodland, we have more than 20 pitches for rugby, cricket, lacrosse, hockey and football.
Broxbourne to London (Liverpool Street) is 35 minutes. Hertford North is a 5-minute car ride from Haileybury and Broxbourne is 10 minutes away. By road Haileybury is conveniently located close to the A10 and easily accessible via the M25, A1 (M), M11 and A414. The School is situated in the village of Hertford Heath and the postcode is SG13 7NU.
