  1. In 1942 the school amalgamated with Imperial Service College. It has educated female pupils since 1973 and is now fully co-educational. Incorporated by Royal Charter, it is a Christian foundation, with oversight provided by a governing council who are the charity trustees of the college, appointed by a wider group of governors.
