En muchas de sus películas, el cómico importunaba a una millonaria cuyo personaje, interpretado por la actriz Margaret Dumont, tenía que soportar los poco caballerosos piropos de su "admirador" (algo, que, por otra parte, también sufría Dumont fuera del plató).
