Rasiowa was born in Vienna on 20 June 1917 to Polish parents. As soon as Poland regained its independence in 1918, the family settled in Warsaw. Helena's father was a railway specialist.

7 de mar. de 2018 · Helena Rasiowa is the author of about one hundred scientific works and the academic textbook, viz., The Introduction to Contemporary Mathematics , which gained popularity both in Poland and abroad. Her works and monographs helped to educate whole generations of logicians in Poland and abroad.
Helena Rasiowa wrote over a hundred scientific papers, books and monographs. She also supervised the doctoral theses of over twenty students. She helped to create a journal entitled “Fundamenta Informaticae”, of which she was the editor-in-chief from its foundation in 1977 until her death.
