20 de jul. de 2022 · May Morris was married to fellow Socialist Henry Halliday Sparling in 1890, but their marriage was tumultuous, and they divorced in 1898. She also had an on-again, off-again relationship with playwright and activist George Bernard Shaw that lasted about 15 years.
The affair came to a sad end, and May married another man, Henry Halliday Sparling, another Socialist friend. The marriage didn’t last, and May remained alone for the rest of her life. Throughout the 1890s and 1900s May was heavily involved in the Arts and Crafts scene in London.
