Henry John, 8th Duke was succeeded in 1932 by his eldest son, George Victor Robert John Innes-Ker (1913-1974), 9th Duke of Roxburghe, educated at Sandhurst. Today the title is held by Guy David Innes-Ker (b. 1954), 10th Duke of Roxburghe, educated at Eton, Sandhurst, and Magdalene College, Cambridge.

8th Duke Roxburghe, Henry Innes-Ker (1876-1932) The 8th Duke attended Eton College, and then the Royal Military College at Sandhurst. He began his military career in 1895, gaining the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the 4th Battalion, Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders.
Henry John Innes-Ker was born on 24 July 1876, the only son of James Henry Robert Innes-Ker, 7th Duke of Roxburghe (1839–1892) and Lady Anne Emily Spencer-Churchill (1854–1923), the fourth daughter of John Spencer-Churchill, 7th Duke of Marlborough. He attended the Royal Military College, Sandhurst and Eton College.
