Phineas Newborn, Jr. (14 de diciembre de 1931, Whiteville, Tennessee-26 de mayo de 1989, Memphis, Tennessee) fue un pianista estadounidense de jazz. El crítico de jazz Leonard Feather le consideró uno de los tres pianistas de jazz más importantes de todos los tiempos, junto a Bud Powell y Art Tatum. [1]
