Originally part of the series X-Chromosome, Hey Monie! aired on Black Entertainment Television and, afterward, on the Oxygen Network in 2003. The series aired on The N from April 19, 2004 until April 25, 2004, only to be removed a month later.

Simone aka Monie is a professional, single black woman. She has a friend named Yvette who always tries to encourage her. She has a neighbor who has a crush on her but she doesn’t. She also works at Wiley PR where she has a friend, a too popular person, and her boss who annoys her.
