HOWARD LARAVEA. KEYBOARDS · VOCALS. Born September 17, 1953 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Howard showed interest in music at an early age. His mother was the youth director at church and being there with her allowed him to hang with the big kids and be in the youth choir.

Howard plays the B-3. INSTRUMENTS: Vocals, Piano, Organ, Synthesizer, Guitar, Bass, & Percussion. SKILLS: Arranging, Composing, MIDI Sequencing, Mixing, Vocal editing, Engineering. EDUCATION: University of Oklahoma (Music Theory Major)
In April 2017, Howard Laravea replaced Eddie Reasoner on keyboards. He was formerly with Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons . When Three Dog Night returned to touring in August 2021, it was without Michael Allsup, who was replaced with Tim Hutton on bass.

Howard Laravea is an accomplished keyboardist, vocalist and musical director. Most recently he was the musical director for platinum-selling country sensation Gretchen Wilson on her 2005 world tour, where he also played keyboards and sang vocals.

With appearances on all the major late night TV and award shows including American Music Awards, Grammy Awards, CMA (Country Music Awards), and CMT Music Awards, Howard is proud to have performed at many iconic venues including Carnegie Hall, the SuperBowl, Ryman Auditorium, Radio City Music Hall, and Grand ‘Ole Opry.
