19 de feb. de 2024 · Hubert de Burgh (died 1243, Banstead, Surrey, Eng.) was the justiciar for young King Henry III of England (ruled 1216–72) who restored royal authority after a major baronial uprising. Hubert became chamberlain to King John (ruled 1199–1216) in 1197, and in June 1215 he was made justiciar.

In the spring of 1217, he was back at Dover, having reprovisioned it, and from April he was once again under siege.
