Entrepreneur, politician. Roberto Dipiazza (born 1 February 1953) is an Italian entrepreneur and politician. A member of the centre-right party Forza Italia, he has been mayor of Muggia between 1996 and 2001 and mayor of Trieste between 2001 and 2011 and again since 2016.

Roberto Dipiazza (Aiello del Friuli, 1º febbraio 1953) è un politico italiano, sindaco di Trieste dal 2001 al 2011, dal 2016 a oggi (rieletto nel 2021). È stato anche consigliere regionale del Friuli-Venezia Giulia, nonché sindaco di Muggia dal 1º dicembre 1996 al 24 giugno 2001.

During his second term as mayor of Trieste, Roberto Dipiazza focused on further development of the city. His desire was to establish Trieste as the primary center for tourism and research. This was done through joint effort from mayor Dipiazza and apolitical organization Autorità portuale.

Former Mayor of Muggia in 1996-2001 for one five-years term, and Mayor of Trieste in 2001-2011 for two five-years consecutives term, he was elected again in 2016 for a new (third) five-years term.
Roberto is an Italian entrepreneur and politician, currently serving as the Mayor of Trieste after being re-elected for the seat in 2016 for a third 5-year term as Mayor. Previously, he served as Mayor of Muggia (Trieste) from 1996 to 2001 and then he has been elected Mayor of Trieste in 2001-2011 for two five-years consecutive terms.
18 de oct. de 2021 · Trieste’s center-right mayor Roberto Dipiazza has been re-elected after winning more than 52 per cent of the vote in the run-off local elections against center-left candidate Francesco Russo. Dipiazza, who has been mayor of Trieste for the last five years, beat the centre-left candidate Francesco Russo who claimed 48 per cent.
