The company’s name is a shout-out to environmental philosopher Timothy Morton’s use of the term ‘hyperobject’ and his belief that humankind needs to re-evaluate its relationship with nature as a whole.
Hyperobject Industries (also known as Hyperobject Productions) was founded by Adam McKay in August 2019 after leaving Gary Sanchez Productions in April earlier of that same year. 24 de oct. de 2022 · New York, NY – October 24, 2022– Academy Award-winning filmmaker Adam McKay’s Hyperobject Industries, in partnership with Sony Music Entertainment, today announced the launch of Bedtime Stories with Adam McKay, a new storytelling podcast series that tells light, improvised tales to help ease busy, stressed minds.
Also in November 2019, Hyperobject Industries formed a multi-year agreement, joint venture with Adam Davidson, Laura Mayer, and Sony Music Entertainment to create Three Uncanny Four Productions, a podcasting company. Hyperobject Industries and the joint venture's partnership will create, develop, produce, and distribute original podcasts.
