1 de may. de 2024 · Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware formed Heaven 17 while frontman Phil Oakey, he of the lopsided hair and distinctive baritone, recruited two teenage girls. With the help of producer Martin Rushent, they made the definitive synth-pop album ‘Dare’ and topped the charts with ‘Don’t You Want Me’ at Christmas 1981.
