Ida Nettleship. Ida Margaret Nettleship (24 January 1877 – 14 March 1907) was a British artist who is best known as the first wife of artist Augustus John.

Hace 5 días · Ida Nettleship studied at the Slade from 1892-98 and, afterwards, spent time in Paris living with Gwen John and studying at the Académie Colarossi. In 1901 she married Augustus John. She died in Paris in 1907.

Ida Nettleship [1877-1907) Ida Nettleship came from an artistic family. Her mother was Adaline Nettleship, a theatrical costumier and dressmaker and her father was the Pre-Raphaelite animal painter John Trivett Nettleship.
