The Integrated Authority File (German: Gemeinsame Normdatei; also known as the Universal Authority File) or GND is an international authority file for the organisation of personal names, subject headings and corporate bodies from catalogues. It is used mainly for documentation in libraries and increasingly also by archives and museums.
This table show 2,500 women listed in the Integrated Authority File for which Wikipedia lacks a biography article. It was generated using Wikidata for Wikipedia:WikiProject Women/Women in Red. See Template:Women in Red for other lists by focus area or by country.
In fact, Integrated Authority File is the officially sanctioned translation, however, the actual name of this file is Gemeinsame Normdatei (GND). Both terms are used in similar numbers in the web, probably also because this article uses the translation rather than the actual name (it wouldn't have been the first time that our titles make it into the web).
