Henry Neville Gladstone, 1st Baron Gladstone of Hawarden (2 April 1852 – 28 April 1935) was a British businessman and politician. He was the third son of Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone . Background and education.

William Ewart Gladstone, fourth son of the first Baronet, was the distinguished statesman who served four times as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. William Henry Gladstone, Lord Gladstone of Hawarden, and Viscount Gladstone, were all younger sons of William Ewart Gladstone.
W. G. C. Gladstone was killed in the First World War. The estate was subsequently purchased by his uncle Henry Gladstone, 1st Baron Gladstone of Hawarden. The house and estate are still a private residence (although some of the grounds are open to the public) and are still owned by the Gladstone family.

The papers of William Ewart Gladstone were deposited at Gladstone's Library in 1908 by Lord Henry Neville Gladstone, 1st Baron Gladstone of Hawarden, and Sir Herbert John Gladstone, 1st Viscount Gladstone, both of whom wanted their father's papers to be preserved and available to biographers.
