Abū Muḥammad Jābir ibn Aflaḥ (Arabic: أبو محمد جابر بن أفلح, Latin: Geber/Gebir; 1100–1150) was an Arab Muslim astronomer and mathematician from Seville, who was active in 12th century al-Andalus. His work Iṣlāḥ al-Majisṭi (Correction of the Almagest) influenced Islamic, Jewish, and Christian astronomers.

Una idea que se me ha ocurrido para defender Andalucía es hablar de matemáticas, y concretamente de Abu Muhammad Jabir ibn Aflah, que fue un matemático andalusí nacido en el año 1100 d.C. y que está considerado como uno de los más importantes científicos de Al-Ándalus.

Jabir ibn Abd Allah al-Ansari is said to have accepted Islam when he was about 7. The first mention of Jabir's life is his presence with his father in the second pledge of allegiance in the 13th year of the Prophethood. He was the youngest observer of the pledge of allegiance of the Osasians and Khazrajians to Muhammad.
