Elizabeth Hamilton (c. 1442 – c. 1517), who married David Lindsay, 1st Duke of Montrose. He married secondly, Mary, daughter of King James II and widow of Thomas Boyd, Earl of Arran. [2] With Mary, Hamilton had three children: Elizabeth Hamilton, Countess of Lennox, who married Matthew Stewart, 2nd Earl of Lennox.
James Hamilton, 5th Duke of Abercorn, KG (born 4 July 1934), styled Viscount Strabane until 1953 and Marquess of Hamilton between 1953 and 1979, is a British peer, courtier and politician.
