James Innes-Ker, 5th Duke of Roxburghe (1736–1823), great-grandson of Hon. Margaret Ker (died 1681), daughter of Hon. Henry Ker, Lord Ker (died 1642/3), the younger son of the 1st Earl James Innes-Ker, 6th Duke of Roxburghe (1816–1879), only son of the 5th Duke, he was created Earl Innes in the peerage of the United Kingdom in 1837
James Henry Robert 7th Duke of Roxburghe Innes-Ker, 7th Duke of Roxburghe was born on month day 1839, in birth place, to James Henry Robert 6th Duke of Roxburghe Innes-Ker, KT and Lady Susanna Stephenia Innes-Ker, VA (born Dalbiac).
In turn, James Henry Robert Innes-Ker was succeeded by his son James Henry Robert Innes-Ker (1839-1892), 7th Duke of Roxburghe. He was the Lord Lieutenant of Roxburghshire and MP, 1870-1874. In 1874 he married Lady Anne Emily Spencer Churchill, O.B.E., V.A., Lady of the Bedchamber and Mistress of the Robes to Queen Victoria, and a daughter of John Winston, 7th Duke of Marlborough.
James took the name Innes-Ker, and became the 5th Duke of Roxburghe. He married twice, first on 19 April 1769 to Mary Wray (1729/30–1807), the eldest daughter of Sir John Wray, 12th Baronet and sister of Sir Cecil Wray, 13th Baronet. His wife died in 1807 and he remarried to Harriet Charlewood on 28 July 1807.

7th Duke Roxburghe, James Henry Robert Innes-Ker (1839-1892) He was born on 5 September 1839 at Floors, to James Henry Robert Innes-Ker, 6th Duke of Roxburghe and Susanna Dalbiac, Duchess of Roxburghe, only child of Sir Charles Dalbiac. His mother was one of Queen Victoria’s staff until she died in 1895.
