Remar decided to become an actor at the age of seven, after watching Stanley Kubrick’s Oscar-winning movie “Spartacus” (1960), starring Kirk Douglas, Laurence Olivier, and Jean Simmons, and got his first role in the drama “On the Yard” in 1978.
James Remar Born in Boston, MA, Remar was raised by his father, S. Roy, an attorney, and his mother, Elizabeth, a state official involved in mental health.
