James Wyatt (1746–1813) is widely recognized as the most celebrated and prolific English architect of the 18th century. At the start of his lengthy career, Wyatt worked on designs for the Oxford Street Pantheon's neo-Classical interior as well as Dodington, the Graeco-Roman house that served as the model for the Regency country house.

James Wyatt, (Weeford dans le Staffordshire, 3 août 1746 – Marlborough dans le Wiltshire, 4 septembre 1813 ), est un architecte anglais, rival de Robert Adam dans le style néoclassique, qu'il surpasse de loin dans le style néogothique . Il est élu membre de la Royal Academy (RA) le 15 février 1785 et en est président de 1805 à 1806 1 .
James Wyatt war der Sohn eines Holzhändlers und Bauunternehmers. 1762–1768 verbrachte er sechs Jahre in Italien, v. a. in Venedig. In dieser Zeit machte er sich mit der neopalladianischen Architektur vertraut. Nach seiner Rückkehr nach London wurde er berühmt durch den Bau des Pantheon in der Regent Street.
