She’s the only child of the famous author, producer, comedian and artist Jim Carrey, and his wife Melissa Womer who previously worked as a comedy store waitress and actress, and is of mixed Scottish, Irish, Dutch, and Israeli descent.
Jim Carrey has said that he is "proud" of daughter Jane Carrey for following her dreams and auditioning for American Idol.
