16 de sept. de 2017 · Jean Arp nació en Estrasburgo, Francia, el 16 de septiembre de 1887. Escultor, poeta y pintor, fue además miembro fundador del movimiento Dadá en Zúrich en 1916. En 1920 junto a Max Ernst , y el activista social Alfred Grünwald, estableció el grupo dadá de Colonia.

Beginning in 1917, Arp's work shifted away from geometric forms toward a more fluid, organic style. During a trip to a Swiss lake resort, Arp was inspired to evoke the branches, stones, roots, and grasses he observed, working with brush and ink.
