Jerry Harte (April 20, 1931–February 2018) was an American actor, director, and musician who appeared in the 1980 film Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back. He is credited as "Head Controller" in the Rebel Forces.

The Star Wars Insider 74 article Who's Who in Echo Base, written by Josh Radke, incorrectly states that Jerry Harte played Echo Base controller Romas Navander, a Star Wars Legends character, in The Empire Strikes Back. In fact, the Navander role was portrayed by actor Burnell Tucker, while Harte played another Echo Base officer who was not named in Star Wars Legends.

In 1971 McKenzie married American actor-director Jerry Harte. He died in 2018. [citation needed]. McKenzie was appointed a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) in the 2018 New Year Honours for services to drama.
