John Adey Repton (1775–1860) was an English architect. Biography. John Repton was the son of Humphry Repton, born at Norwich, Norfolk on 29 March 1775, and educated at Aylsham grammar school and later in a Norwich architect's office.

Overview. John Adey Repton. (1775—1860) Quick Reference. (1775–1860). Eldest son of Humphry Repton, he collaborated with his father on a number of projects, especially after the latter was severely disabled in 1811. J. A. Repton studied with William Wilkins, Senior, in Norwich, from whom he acquired a love of medieval architecture.

Footnote 7 Whilst the designs encompass a range of sites, including new routeways and decorative buildings, the focus is on an extensive pleasure ground.
