John Flaxman (York, 6 juli 1755 - Londen, 7 december 1826) was een Brits beeldhouwer uit de neoclassicistische periode. Ondanks het grote aantal beelden en (graf)monumenten dat hij produceerde, dankt hij zijn bekendheid grotendeels aan zijn ontwerpen voor de porseleinfabriek Wedgwood en zijn neoklassieke lijntekeningen, die door anderen gegraveerd werden.

John Flaxman RA was a British sculptor and draughtsman, and a leading figure in British and European Neoclassicism. Early in his career he worked as a modeller for Josiah Wedgwood's pottery. He spent several years in Rome, where he produced his first book illustrations. He was a prolific maker of funerary monuments.
