Michael Tolkien (October 22, 1920 - February 27, 1984) was brother to Christopher Tolkien, Priscilla Tolkien, and John Francis Reuel Tolkien, who were children of J.R.R. Tolkien and Edith Tolkien. He was born in Oxfordshire, and lived in the United Kingdom until his death. A young Michael Tolkien is portrayed by Paul Gurcel Escudero in the 2019 biographical film Tolkien.

John Francis Reuel Tolkien. John was born on the 16th November 1917, in a Cheltenham nursing home. He was baptised by Father Francis, and was also named after him. He was schooled at a Catholic boarding school in Berkshire, and then he went on to Exeter College to read English from 1936 to 1939. He then trained for the Catholic priesthood in Rome.
